The 100th CSWIP Welding Quality Control Co-ordinator certificate has been awarded to Simon Geraghty who successfully passed the examination at TWI in Middlesbrough, UK. Since its launch in August 2010 this industry driven qualification has been delivered in several locations throughout the globe.

The Welding Quality Control Co-ordinator certification is designed to demonstrate the competence of the person who is responsible for a team of inspection personnel and all the quality related documentation required for welded fabrications. The role typically consists of ensuring that Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) are fully adhered to, both from a quality and engineering point of view. This is a stand-alone qualification and is seen as natural career progression from the CSWIP 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector.

The CSWIP QC Coordinator was developed and written by Ian Hogarth, is managed by Keith Malone and is delivered worldwide by Steve Jones.
