Manager from TWI India presented with prestigious national award

Chief Manager of Non-Destructive Testing at TWI India, Mr RJ Pardikar, has been presented with the Global Achievers Foundation’s Bharat Vibhushan Award in recognition of his work in non-destructive examination.

The distinguished award was presented to Mr Pardikar at a ceremony held at the Individual Contribution for National Economic and Social Development National Seminar, which took place in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on 30 May.

Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, the Hon. Harish Rawat, presented the award, which recognises Mr Pardikar’s ‘outstanding contribution to the field of science and technology and distinguished services to the nation’.

It is not the first time that the TWI manager has been decorated with a major award. Shortly before he joined the company’s Chennai office in January 2014, he was presented with the Glory of India Gold Medal in recognition of his ‘meritorious services, outstanding performance and remarkable role’.

Mr Pardikar has more than 30 years’ experience of working in industry, and has been involved in the publication of more than 100 technical works. Alongside his role at TWI, he is currently regional controller of examinations (southern region) for the National Certification Board and vice president of the Indian Society for Non-Destructive Testing, where he has previously served nine years as general secretary.
