The Australian Welding Institute recognises the importance and status of CSWIP welding certifications

TWI and the Australian Welding Institute (AWI) [website: www.austwelding.com.au/] have enjoyed an excellent working relationship since 2010 when the AWI was founded. Both organisations seek to support industry by providing relevant technical information to members and recognised qualification and certification systems for personnel. As it has done for other institutions intent on supporting professional development and competence assurance, TWI has offered substantial discounts on its diverse portfolio of training courses and examination services to benefit AWI members. Successful candidates receive CSWIP certification, which provides internationally recognised, role-specific competence assurance for people engaged in welding, joining, materials integrity and inspection in manufacturing, construction, operation or repair of high integrity structures, plant or machinery. CSWIP certification schemes are UKAS-accredited to ISO/IEC 17024, the international standard for personnel certification.

The Australian Welding Institute recognises the importance and status of CSWIP welding certifications

Phil Richardson, Director and Founder of the AWI said "The AWI, in conjunction with the Australian Oil and Gas Industry, recognises the importance and status the CSWIP welding certifications present, and we encourage all our members and potential members to give serious consideration to embracing them. The forthcoming CSWIP QC Welding Coordinators course commencing on 21 October in Perth, is a prime example of the courtesy extended to the AWI members from TWI with a 30% discount on the course cost. We have no hesitation in recommending this course as further support of our members’ qualifications. It also enables them to increase and broaden their employment opportunities and income".

The Australian Welding Institute is a Not for Profit Industry body, whose mission is to provide industry with a professional body, disseminate technical information for their members’ benefit and to provide nationally recognised qualifications and certification system for welding related personnel.
