TWI conducts successful first plant inspection training course in Iran

Derek Reed, an experienced lecturer from TWI’s UK office, travelled to Iran recently to run the CSWIP level 1 Plant Inspector course. This was the first time a TWI plant course had been conducted in Iran since the lifting of sanctions.

The training, which took place in Tehran between the 15 and 25 of July 2017, was attended by 9 candidates from various different companies from the oil and gas industries.

The CSWIP certified course covered topics related to the role and duties of a plant inspector and included safety and legislation alongside the various skills and knowledge required for the role.

The candidates were able to gain an understanding of the fundamental aspects of plant inspection within industry, and will hope to have achieved the certification to allow them to meet the increasing demand for integrated asset management within process plants across the region.

The candidates reported that they were happy with the course, which was conducted in a good atmosphere, and we hope that this is just the start of a long line of successful TWI training courses in Persia.
