Designers and manufacturing staff either currently using or planning to use adhesives. The course is particularly relevant to those wishing to understand a technology that is being used more frequently to create new products. The course can either be used as foundation upon which to base good practice or as a useful refresher for those already using the technology.
Course Content
Adhesive selection; different adhesive systems; introduction to designing with bonded joints; dispensing adhesives; surface treatments; properties of cured adhesives; mechanical testing of bonded joints; durability and accelerated ageing; quality control; heatlh and safety aspects.
