TWI's training centres are based in the two major regional hubs, Dubai and Bahrain.

The Dubai office opened as a single classroom facility in Knowledge Village in March 2007. The centre was intended to service the training requirements of the UAE, however, it has attracted candidates from as far afield as the former Soviet Union. In addition to welding and painting inspection courses the venue has also hosted both NDT training and bespoke in-house courses for major clients in Dubai.

The steadily increasing demand for inspection courses, coupled with the launch of our HSE Training Division, means that we have outgrown our existing premises. Larger premises have been secured in Knowledge Village which will allow us to have two full-sized classrooms. The target date for the new office to become operational is September 2008.

Our Bahrain training centre principally services the training market for Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The centre has two classrooms which have mainly been used for welding and painting inspection courses. An additional classroom used exclusively for phased array, ToFD and automated ultrasonic training will be added before the end of this year.

Additional personnel have been recruited which means that there will be five UK expatriate lecturers permanently based in the region, including an advanced ultrasonics trainer.

In addition to our two bases in Dubai and Bahrain, we regularly deliver training in Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Libya.
