TWI realises the importance of education in environmental management and is very pleased to announce that IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment) has approved TWI HSE as an accredited provider of their internationally recognised Associate Certificate Course in Environmental Management.
ACFM training ... call in the seasoned professionals
TWI has been conducting Lloyd's and CSWIP Levels 1 and 2 courses around the world since 1997. Courses are run routinely in the UK and Thailand and are also available at clients' premises worldwide. In-house courses have been particularly popular in the United States.
ACFM is a modern and innovative inspection process, suitable for ferritic and non-ferritic metals, using non-contact methods. Exhaustive trials have proved that ACFM has as good a track record for detection defects as MPI and eddy current inspections.
An opportunity for NDT PCN certificate holders
With the support of British industry, CSWIP NDT certification has been reintroduced into the UK. Operators can now benefit from the worldwide recognition of CSWIP.
CSWIP NDT certification complies in all respects with the requirements of both EN 473 and ISO 9712. Over recent years CSWIP EN 473 certification has been issued to customers in mainland Europe.
TWI delivers training to meet the requirements of the British Gas Approval Scheme (BGAS) which it runs on behalf of NATIONAL GRID Plc. The scheme set up in 1968 is the industry accepted standard. It complements the well-known CSWIP (Certification Scheme for Welding and Inspection Personnel).
BGAS-CSWIP qualifications are highly regarded pipeline specific qualifications, and is by far the leading industry qualification.
TWI has successfully delivered NDT courses and examinations in the Middle East for over 15 years. TWI's courses cover the disciplines of ultrasonics, radiography, liquid penetrant and magnetic particle inspection, as well as radiation safety and all new advanced inspection techniques.
It has also conducted CSWIP and PCN examinations throughout all the Middle East States. In addition, TWI regularly provides proctoring services for ASNT level III examinations in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.
TWI SEA Training & Certification signed an agreement with Professor Byoung Chul Shin, Professor and Director of the Nondestructive Evaluation and Radiation Safety Institute in Dongeui University, Busan and Chairman of the Steering Committee, Materials Evaluation Forum (MEF).
The programme will be conducted in Dongeui University in the City of Busan. The city itself has a well established infrastructure and a particularly modern port.
New Welding Coordinator software released by TWI
TWI's Software Development Team has just released a new version of its Welding Coordinator software. The system is designed to manage welding and fabrication projects, and integrates with TWI's Weldspec (welding procedures) and Welderqual (welder qualifications) software.
This rewrite of the software still includes all the features of previous Welding Coordinator software.
