Phased array training with the Sonatest Veo

TWI is also expanding the range of equipment on which its Manual and Encoded Phased Array UT training can be delivered. With the addition of the Sonatest equipment, TWI offers a wider range of training resources to enable clients to use various manufacturers' equipment including the new Veo.

TWI has always been able to deliver training on multiple equipments, including Olympus Omniscan, Sonatest Harfang and the AGR Focus Scan. This new addition to the range embraces the latest equipment developments from industry.

The generic material encompasses all makes of equipment but during the practical phase candidates are given guidance on their own respective equipment. This is facilitated by flow charts for set-ups, calibrations etc., guiding students through hands-on application. These aids are then gradually withdrawn during the course as the student's ability and confidence increases.

The ability to provide training across a variety of equipments also allows candidates to experience the capabilities of the broad range of test equipment used by today's industry thus broadening the candidates' knowledge and understanding.
