TWI signs agreement covering NDT Training in China

Two contracts were signed during the signing ceremony which took place on 1st July 2011 at CCS Mansion, Beijing, China.

The first agreement was between TWI and the China Classification Society (CCS) on mutual cooperation starting with a training agreement for Phased Array and Time of Flight Diffraction (ToFD). Twenty important personnel from the shipping industry in China witnessed the signature by Dr Reza Razmjoo, TWI Director - Business Development and Mr Li You, General Manager of CCS NDT Lab for CCS.

The second agreement covers the translation and copyright agreement between three parties: TWI (represented by Mr Darus Taib TWI SEA General Manager), Lee Pipe Inspection Technologies Ltd (represented by their General Manager, Ji Lianchun) and CCS (represented by Mr Li You). This agreement allows the delivery of both TWI NDT Training courses and CSWIP international examinations in Chinese thus responding to the increasing demand for these products in China.

Both agreements were witnessed by CCS Chairman and President Mr Li Kejun and TWI TES Director Dr Reza Razmjoo. There is hope of further cooperation between TWI and CCS not just in training and certification but also in other aspects such as research and development.
