For more than two decades, TWI has been proud to deliver high quality training and examination services in India, serving a wide range of industrial sectors. Oil and gas continues to offer a buoyant market for competency skills, and there is increasing activity in the field of renewable energy. As India continues to grow industrially, and as health and safety requirements become more robust, TWI continues to provide the training to produce skilled and competent workers.

In September 2011, Mr Jim Kerins was appointed to set up a TWI facility in Chennai, focusing initially on NDT and inspection techniques, but also to establish an Indian base for training and technical support in all TWI competences. This office has been operational since January 2012, and has rapidly become fully functional through the employment of local, skilled people and resources.
