Adhesive Bonding Technology – A Bespoke Course by TWI

TWI brings you a new training course designed to help scientists and engineers to understand and realise the full potential of adhesives in fabrication. TWI Adhesive Bonder course is in compliance with European Adhesive Bonder course (EWF), which is in accordance with DIN 6702-2.

Modern adhesive bonding technology means new opportunities to make things better and more efficient. But, to exploit the benefits of adhesives and new adhesive bonding techniques, it’s necessary to gain understanding of the technologies and underlying science.

Running for four days, the TWI Adhesive Bonding Technology course will address important aspects of a joining technology that’s growing rapidly in terms of popularity and applications.

The course content includes:

  • Adhesive selection
  • Different adhesive systems
  • Introduction to designing with bonded joints
  • Dispensing adhesives
  • Surface treatments
  • Properties of cured adhesives
  • Mechanical testing of bonded joints
  • Durability and accelerated ageing
  • Quality control
  • Health and safety aspects

This course will help you to understand the advantages offered by adhesives, in terms of functionality, fabrication time, cost, and the design freedom to use new material combinations, which will lead to significant cost cutting in product manufacturing as compared to other joining techniques, such as spot welding, etc.

Spaces on the course are strictly limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.
