BGAS-CSWIP Magnetic Particle Inspector: Further Dates
Demand for TWI Training and Examinations Services' BGAS-CSWIP Magnetic Particle Inspector training continues, with the upcoming course at TWI Cambridge on 4 November 2026 now fully booked.
For professionals looking to develop their non-destructive testing (NDT) knowledge and practical inspection skills, further course dates are available at TWI's Cambridge and Middlesbrough facilities.
Developing Magnetic Particle Inspection Skills
Magnetic particle inspection (MPI), also known as magnetic testing (MT), is a widely used NDT method for identifying surface and near-surface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials. The BGAS-CSWIP Magnetic Particle Inspector course develops candidates' understanding of magnetic principles, magnetisation techniques, detection media, inspection equipment and the interpretation of indications. Combining theoretical learning with practical exercises, the training covers the application of magnetic particle inspection, assessment of inspection sensitivity, and the preparation of inspection instructions and test reports.
The course is designed for NDT personnel, inspectors and technicians involved in weld inspection, casting and forging inspection, fabrication or in-service inspection.
