CSWIP: First for NDT Certification and Assurance
While CSWIP is known around the world for providing competence assurance of welding inspection personnel, the first certificates issued by CSWIP, in 1969, were actually for ultrasonic inspection and radiography.
These first certificates established CSWIP’s industrial reputation as a credible and reliable source of assurance for NDT Inspection personnel.
Starting with 24 certificate holders in 1969, CSWIP has grown to have over 40,000 current certificate holders around the world. Personnel can use the CSWIP logo on their documentation to demonstrate their membership of this select group with an industry recognised and valued certification.
CSWIP's portfolio of non-destructive testing certification is UKAS accredited to the international standard for personnel certification, ISO/IEC 17024, and compliant with ISO 9712 Non-Destructive Testing – Qualification and Certification of NDT Personnel.
In addition, the CSWIP Employer Specific Non-Destructive Testing scheme provides sector, product or company specific certification for personnel by applying ISO 9712 requirements to specific products and inspection procedures.
