Employer Specific NDT Certification with CSWIP
CSWIP delivers a comprehensive range of certification for a variety of NDT methods, however, there are instances when an employer requires certification outside of the generic ISO 9712 certifications and is instead specific to the needs of their company, product or sector.
TWI Certification is able to meet these needs through the ‘CSWIP Employer Specific Certification Scheme for Personnel in NDT.’ This provides an option for bespoke NDT certification that is still in accordance with BS EN ISO 9712 and accredited to BS EN ISO/IEC 17024, the international standard for personnel certification, by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).
Those interested in Employer Specific Certification should contact TWI Examinations with details of the method, processes/products and the number of people requiring certification. Evidence of past training, work experience and eyesight tests for each individual seeking certification should also be submitted as per ISO 9712.
Once these details (any other requirements) have been confirmed and in accordance with the standard, TWI will work with you to create your own employer specific ‘scheme document.’ This document be specifically tailored to your requirements and will outline the examination format and certification syllabus along with the method used and company procedures it is in compliance with.
Once the scheme document has been issued, examinations can be arranged. Successful completion of the exam will lead to the issuing of certifications including the name and address of the employer and an outline of the specific procedure it covers. Product sectors and industrial sectors will be named, where applicable, in the CSWIP inspector certification titles, roles and responsibilities.
The assurance and assessment of competence covered by the scheme are designed to satisfy the guidance of RG O, ‘Guidelines on the Competence of Personnel Undertaking Engineering Inspections.’
