EWF/IIW Welding Diploma – Career Map

Employers widely acknowledge the European Federation for Welding, Joining, and Cutting (EWF) and International Institute of Welding (IIW) diplomas as high-quality vocational education in welding engineering. A high level of competence is shown, that is recognised globally, supporting the quality standards for welding coordination across the wide range of applications, materials and processes that are being carried out!

There are three levels of international welding diploma certification; specialist level, technologist level and engineer level. Each of these levels have their own number of modules and entry requirements.

There are several entry requirements mentioned in the career maps for each level. You don’t have to worry if you don’t meet a certain criteria for entry requirements at a higher level when you are at the beginning of your training. You can either gain additional qualifications as you progress through the diploma or continue studying the modules to receive the TWI Diploma in Welding Technology and TWI Diploma in Welding Engineering. In addition to that, there are exceptions for some modules and you can find the details in the map.

If you are considering applying for IEng status to enable you to meet the entry requirements, please contact theweldinginstitute@twi.co.uk and we can discuss how you can achieve this as soon as possible.
