New NDT Programme Manager and Lecturers appointed
Alexander Tsougranis has been appointed as TWI Training's Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Programme Manager for UK and Europe. Alexander is a Mechanical Engineer specialising in engineering education with CEng status and has additional MSc studies in Advanced Manufacturing Systems, currently studying Engineering Management and Leadership. He started his career in the power generation sector as a Power Line Engineer and subsequently moved into NDT.
Alexander joined TWI in 2015, his experience spans a wide range of NDT related roles including NDT equipment sales representative, inspection, consultancy, training and certification. In the last ten years, he has delivered NDT training in several countries and for different certification bodies.
Building upon his breadth of experience in NDT and his academic background, his new role will see him manage NDT lecturers and the NDT training programme for the delivery of training and examinations for CSWIP and PCN certification at all of TWI's UK sites.
Alexander's vision for the NDT training programme is to maximise the value delivered to industry and individuals through uncompromised integrity and operational innovation.
In addition, TWI welcomes two senior NDT lecturers to its NDT training programme team, Konstantinos Chronopoulos and Alireza Ziaeddini.
Konstantinos Chronopoulos is the new Senior NDT and BGAS lecturer based in TWI Cambridge. Konstantinos holds a BEng (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering and Design while he is currently studying an MSc degree in structural integrity. Konstantinos has a broad experience in NDT, including inspection and supervision in various projects across Europe and QA/QC management. Since 2015, his main activity is delivering NDT training courses for ISO 9712 certification.
Alireza Ziaeddini is also a senior NDT lecturer who started in September 2019 in TWI Cambridge. Alireza studied material science and engineering. He initially joined TWI Central Asia in 2007 as a project leader, project manager and later NDT section manager. Alireza has a long experience in inspection projects in the oil and gas industry in Central Asia as well as experience in delivering advanced NDT courses for CSWIP certification.
Konstantinos and Alireza are looking forward to sharing their knowledge and experience in NDT and align their efforts with TWI's mission for uncompromised integrity in the provision of trained and competent personnel.
