TES Supports ThetaNDT in Advancing NLR Training Framework
At TWI Training and Examination Services (TES), we are committed to empowering innovation through technical training support. Our recent collaboration with Theta Technologies Ltd (ThetaNDT) is an example of that mission.
Over the past three months, our team has worked closely with ThetaNDT to develop a training framework for their cutting-edge non-linear resonance (NLR) technology, that is an advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) method destined to make a significant impact across aerospace and other high-integrity sectors.
As part of this engagement, TES provided strategic instructional design expertise, creating comprehensive lesson plans and helping shape certification-aligned syllabi for Level 1, 2, and 3 training programmes. This work positions ThetaNDT to have a strong foundation for the next phase of training and material development, and to be ready for delivering high-quality certified training in NLR technology. This will enhance their commercial readiness and ability to meet European Space Agency (ESA) and aerospace industry expectations.
“The support was excellent,” said Julian Wright, Technical Director at ThetaNDT and he continued with regards to the technical project leader who has been our NDT Programme Manager: “Konstantinos provided clear and patient guidance throughout the process. Communication was consistent, prompt, and professional. TWI’s support through the ESA ‘Prepare for Space’ programme was invaluable.”
Beyond curriculum development, our collaboration also facilitated new opportunities. ThetaNDT made connections with Airbus Defence and Space and Safran Engineering Services—key players in the aerospace landscape. These introductions, enabled through TES and ESA networks, open exciting possibilities for commercial growth and further technological integration.
While the training materials are still in development, the groundwork is laid: ThetaNDT now has a structured, certifiable training pathway that supports both market expansion and technical credibility.
This project exemplifies how TES partners with technology innovators to shape and deliver bespoke training programmes that align with industry standards and strategic goals. Our role is not just to train—but to help organisations unlock the potential of their technology through tailored learning frameworks.
As we continue to support high-potential organisations across sectors, collaborations like this reinforce our reputation as a forward-looking, responsive, and trusted training provider.
