Is it for me?

This course is suitable for you if you are a welding co-ordinator (ISO 14731) or other specialist involved in welding fabrication (QA, QC and manufacturing).

What will I learn?

This subject is offered as final modules only. Subjects included are quality assurance and quality control in welding, welding procedure requirements, approval testing, welder performance testing, calibration, non-destructive testing, economics, repairs and case studies.

What will I leave with?

By the end of the course you should be able to:

  • Understand quality assurance/quality control requirements in fabrication
  • Understand to QA/QC requirements in welded fabrication
  • Understand the principles and application of different NDE methods
  • Gain success in appropriate examinations
  • Gain an appropriate TWI Diploma qualification (for full course only)
  • Gain the breath of knowledge required to succeed in the appropriate EWF/IIW examinations

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To progress to the Engineer level you need to have completed the Specialist a nd technologist levels and also received confirmation that you are eligible for the Engineer Modules. If you have not been assessed for this level, please provide a copy of your CV, copies of qualifications gained at level 6 and above (I.E. BSc) to iiwexam@twicertification.com

All Engineer Modules must be attended and exam taken prior to attending FAA3.
