This examination is for candidates who need to renew their CSWIP or PCN Level 1 or 2 Ultrasonic Testing certification. It is designed to assess and confirm your continued competency and compliance with industry standards.

What will I learn?

This renewal examination will be delivered by our highly experienced lecturers, who will provide expert guidance to help you prepare effectively for the assessment. The session will reinforce your knowledge and practical skills, ensuring you approach the exam with confidence and a clear understanding of what is required.
The examination includes:
  • Equipment Performance Check (Function Check) - Verifying that testing equipment is operating correctly.
  • Preparation of a Written Instruction - Drafting one method statement that meets industry standards for the inspection of one of the samples.
  • Inspection of three Samples - Conducting practical tests on three test pieces and prepare their test reports including the findings in a structured and professional way using the method's techniques.

    What will I leave with?

    Upon successfully passing the renewal examination, you will:
    • Maintain your CSWIP or PCN Level 1 or 2 certification, ensuring ongoing professional recognition.
    • Demonstrate continued competency, meeting current industry standards.
    • Attempt the exam for your certification.

    What else should I know?

    IMPORTANT: Candidates must undertake the renewal exam no later than 6 weeks before their certification expires.
    • If your certification has expired, you may need to complete further training and/or a full retest.
    • Ensure you meet the renewal eligibility criteria set by CSWIP or PCN before booking this examination.
