Is it for me?

Since this module is part of the Diploma course, it is suitable for welding co-ordinators (ISO 14731). However, if you can demonstrate practical experience on the welding processes you can be exempted from this module.

What will I learn?

This course follows guidelines for practical training in MMA, TIG, MIG/MAG and oxy fuel gas cutting and welding processes. The module provides you with supervised project work at varying levels to suit your background experience.

What will I leave with?

By the end of the course, you should have a practical understanding of oxy fuel welding, TIG, MMA and MIG/MAG welding.

What else should I know?

If you have a welding background, apprenticeship and/or hold or have held welder qualifications you may have exemption from this module.

As there are various routes for obtaining the qualifications of Welding Specialist, Welding Technologist or Welding Engineer, your first step is to forward a C.V. for assessment.
