A career in underwater inspection
Working in underwater welding and inspection can be challenging but it also provides an opportunity to work around the world and can provide excellent rates of pay.
TWI is the sole provider of CSWIP training, which is recognised and trusted around the world. As with all CSWIP courses, the underwater welding and inspection content closely reflects real work, meaning that you will gain genuine skills that you can take directly to the workplace.
Taught by professionals, the underwater inspection training is only available to qualified commercial divers, where training how to coordinate underwater inspections is available to non- divers. The training includes both practical and theoretical elements with certification lasting 5 years before renewal provides a chance to refresh your skills and prove your competence. There is also a requirement for divers to take a medical each year to prove fitness.
TWI underwater welding training is available at our Middlesbrough and South East Asia offices, while the inspection training is available at TWI centres worldwide.
