Build Welding Inspection Skills with CSWIP Visual Training

Following a successful CSWIP Visual Welding Inspector course in Middlesbrough earlier this month, TWI Training is preparing to welcome another group of delegates to the next CSWIP Visual Welding Inspector Package, starting 24 August 2026.

With places already filling quickly, the upcoming Middlesbrough course offers professionals another opportunity to develop practical knowledge and work towards an internationally recognised CSWIP qualification.

Visual inspection is a fundamental part of welding quality control. From identifying weld imperfections and understanding relevant welding processes to carrying out measurements, preparing reports and applying applicable codes and standards, inspectors need a strong understanding of what they are looking for and why it matters.

The course is designed for welders, operators, line inspectors, foremen and welding quality control personnel, as well as those looking to build their foundations in welding inspection. Candidates develop the knowledge needed to inspect welds, assess them against specified acceptance criteria and understand the documentation and reporting requirements involved in inspection work.

A foundation for further progression

CSWIP Visual Welding Inspector certification can also provide a starting point for further development within welding inspection. Career pathways can progress towards roles including CSWIP Welding Inspector, CSWIP Senior Welding Inspector and Welding Quality Control Coordinator, depending on experience and further qualifications.

The latest Middlesbrough course follows a successful delivery earlier in August, demonstrating continued interest in developing recognised welding inspection skills.
