Is it for me?
Ideal for engineers, technicians, and operators who require knowledge of CP techniques, through to more in-depth technical detail, plus an understanding of likely problem areas and an appreciation of cathodic protection methodology.
Students measuring polarisation potentials in a class exercise.
What will I learn?
In addition to the knowledge of a Level 2 Engineer, this course will cover problem areas and troubleshooting of CP systems, investigation of testposts or stations, and insulating flanges and monoblocks. You will also learn about cased crossings, low potential readings, interference effects and mitigation. The course will also teach you about AC interference, DC interference, earthing structures, coatings and CP electro osmosis, and holiday detection.
What will I leave with?
This course builds upon the information given in the cathodic protection level 1 and level 2 courses to provide a higher level of understanding, including areas such as troubleshooting, interference, mitigation and more.
