Certification Course for Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) Inspector

Is it for me?

This mechanised ultrasonic training course is suitable for you if you want to learn about the testing of girth welds using zonal discrimination with focused search units, such as pipeWIZARD (Olympus) or other AUT systems. However, due to equipment availability, this training is only available for AUT inspection companies and their employees.

TWI is able to offer company employer specific AUT certification to ISO 9712.

What will I learn?

Knowledge of phased array technique; advantages/disadvantages; in-depth knowledge of Pipe Wizard system; interpretation of results; knowledge of software, equipment, troubleshooting etc.

Training in accordance with the requirements of BS EN ISO 9712.

What will I leave with?

By the end of the course, you should be able to:

Set-up and operate AUT scanners
Configure software for differing weld configurations
Calibrate equipment
